I wish
I could feel safe in this world
when I am alone
to be able to walk the street
I wish
I could feel safe
If a stranger should pass me
by and smile
I wish
I could feel safe
knowing that smile came from
their heart and they would do me no harm
I wish
I could feel safe
when I am alone
in my home
knowing that I am protected
from any evil that lurks.
